Lynn
Lynn made this dress as a challenge to herself. She is an amzing seamstress as you can probably tell! I had a couple of ideas in mind so first I did her hair and makeup and then we did some studio images before venturing to one of our more rugged beaches. There was a lot of throwing music pages and using the remote with the camera on the tripod so I could layer all the images up later. We had such a fun time together. And yes the violin isn't just a prop, Lynn is also a grade eight violinist after just a few years of lessons and exams. Both the first and last image here have both won NZIPP Iris Awards. The first image has the ruins of the Catholic Cathedral after the earthquake in Christchurch for it's background, it reminded me of World War II when so many amazing Jewish musicians had to flee as their cities crumbled behind them.
